Here's what I'm going for, so don't mind it, please.

Hi, I'm J. Garletts. Normally an artist, but here? Determined to learn html so that I dont have to use a website builder, since I don't really like those.

I'm using all this for my portfolio class. Don't fail me if this still looks bad please and thanks Prof.

In fact, you can look at images here. Yay Images! Look at my images!!!

In general there is something about the streamlining of modern websites that I despise extrordinarily, with a lot of things that are pretty arbitrary and take away from the spirit of creation, so to speak.
I wouldn't even describe what I am going for as a rejection of modernity, or to even come off as "different". Granted, I don't like showing my face, not even in my Bio statement do I do that, but not even there do I do that as an attempt to be different. It's simply my expression. Probably more tied to aesthetic choices than anything else. It's hard to explain. I guess if I want to have a website that I think looks ugly, I want it to be made ugly by my own two hands. Unprofessionalism at it's finest.

So, For the time being...

I would reccommend just looking at my Comicfury site, Which hosts my comic SubHuman.
While not necessairily a dedicated "portfolio", It is a good example of a large cohesive body of work that I have been working on since 2020, and when people ask me what I do, this is always the first thing that I show them.

What else is there?

Aside from keeping this as a portfolio, I will more than likely start blogging here on occasion, more or less just to keep up with the practice of learning HTML.
Who knows? Though in general I plan on Updating:

  • My Youtube Channel, which currently does not have much content on it.
  • My Tumblr (which is primarily just fanart) That I may link some other time.
  • And maybeeeeee My Instagram. Another Website with streamlined formatting that I infamously do not care for. And will not link.
